Johnny Depp Performs At Children’s Charity Gig

Depp and Simmons performed a quick jam session on stage together for the Mending Kids’ Music on a Mission event at the Lucky Strike bowling alley in Los Angeles on Sunday night. “All the funding comes in from contributions, and MendingKids.org sends doctors, on their dime, around the world to provide free operations to children with physical deformities, facial, spinal, anything, where otherwise they would have a life of pain and suffering and perhaps death”. He simply strapped on a guitar and began enjoying with the band.

The concert also boasted a reunion of Eighties rock outfit Extreme, with Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt performing their hit, “More Than Words”, per an Associated Press report of the gig.

After appearances by various musicians, Depp quietly joined the house band to play Alice Cooper’s “School’s Out”. (The fifty two-yr-previous actor introduced final week that he’s forming a band with Cooper and guitarist Joe Perry referred to as Hollywood Vampires that may launch a self-titled album subsequent month and donate proceeds to charity.).

His hair slicked back, Depp wore jeans and an oxford shirt topped with a gray vest.

In the video, Depp can be seen playing a white electric guitar to the left of the screen.

Depp said that he was “thrilled to be part of an even that benefits children around the globe”.

Simmons was the last to take the stage. About 10 did, including Simmons’ son and daughter.

Simmons, 65, told Billboard he had never played with Depp before and the show was all improvised.
