Trump in Cleveland Thursday, Clinton holds rally in N.C.

When Trump suggested a “Second Amendment” remedy if Hillary Clinton is elected, Ryan said he was “too busy” to pay attention to Trump’s “jokes” … and still supported the Republican nominee. “Our enemies probably hacked into Hillary Clinton’s emails”.

She added, “And unfortunately, there are people like that and he has lifted them up”. “It is time to break up that monopoly”.

But like many of his policy plans, this was one was vague, with few specifics.

His plan would divert $20 billion dollars from existing federal programs for this new “choice” block grant to states, which will fund private and charter schools.

In a speech Thursday, Donald Trump said he would allocate $20 billion to states to support school choice opportunities. “That means parents will be able to send their kids to the desired public, private, or even religious school of their choice”. That money “should follow the students”, a concept known in education policy as portability. A block grant is not a awful way to go about it as it gives families the money to choose where to go to school, rather than forcing children into school zones and failing schools that receive the money with no incentive to make themselves better. It lacks any vision for strengthening our public schools.

“I take classification seriously”, she said.

“It’s one thing to attack your opponent. I think it will cost her at the polls!”

The start of full-fledged campaigning opens a pivotal month, culminating in the first presidential debate September 26 at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.

Host Seth Meyers looks at controversies surrounding Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Those deemed “entrepreneurs” will get a three-year deferment on their loans “so that student debt and the lack of family wealth is not a barrier to innovation in our country”.

Despite its paltry fundraising operation, the Trump campaign said Wednesday that it collected huge totals from from small-dollar donors, who have flocked to the Republican nominee thanks to his costly investment in digital fundraising tools. “We spend more by far, and we’re doing very poorly”. Before this, he’s made general pronouncements about wanting guns, not Common Core, in schools, and being for school choice. She also flushed out several national security priorities if she is elected, including trying to take out the leader of the Islamic State and vowing to defeat the extremist group without putting US troops on the ground in Iraq or Syria. Responding to a question, Trump called Clinton a “bad person” and alleged that she would be a “disaster” for evangelicals. “It wasn’t politicized”, she said.

Trump has been helped by what his campaign said was a positive week last week, highlighted by a quick trip to Mexico, appearing side by side with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, and a visit to a black church in Detroit. Like most conservatives, Trump is against federal mandates on grants to states, but he also wants to mandate how the money will be spent while giving states the option of how to spend it.
