The hybrid Fisker Karma has been reborn as Karma Automotive’s Revero.

Karma Automotive, a Costa Mesa-based auto maker, officially unveiled its new model Thursday night during a private event in Laguna Beach. The high-concept vehicle represents a second life for one head-turning hybrid that met an untimely end as the sole model from Fisker Automotive, founded by automotive developer Henrik Fisker, who recently debuted his newly designed Fisker Force 1. The interiors are equally posh as majority of the accessories are made using wood. We have gotten the 2017 Revero in hybrid module. It generates power for the lithium-ion battery pack that provides electricity for a pair of electric motors. There’s a set of traction motors generating a total of 301kW of power and 1330Nm of torque for the rear wheels.
The performance credentials include a 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint negotiated in 5.4 seconds in Sport mode, with Karm estimating a fuel economy of 52 MPGe in hybrid mode and 20 miles per gallon when running exclusively on gas.
The vehicle accelerates from zero to 60 miles per hour in 5.4 seconds and can reach a top speed of 125 miles per hour.
Despite all these fantastic features and an elite finish, the Revero is not such a strong entry in the electric vehicle segment. Owners can plug in for a battery range up to 50 miles and the gas-powered generator extends the total range to approximately 300 miles. However, the 2017 Karma Revero has a new grille, side vents and long bi-xenon headlights.
New is DC fast charging which can recharge the battery to 80 percent in 24 minutes and an on-board charger that reduces recharge time to three hours with a 240-volt outlet.
Karma has fitted its plug-in sedan with a huge solar panel on the roof. It adds another 250 miles (402 km) to the range figure and can be used to maintain the battery’s charge, or replenish it when it runs flat.
The former Fisker Karma was selling for $103,000 at its lowest, but the new model is seriously playing with the affluent buyers as it will start from $130,000 MSRP.

The Revero is a carbon-copy of the original Karma and the four-door sedan’s looks will turn heads wherever it goes.
