My Predictions: Taking a stab at WWE Backlash

Every wrestler is a SmackDown wrestler, every story a SmackDown story.

Those suspicions should be long gone by this point because Styles holds the two biggest titles in wrestling: A clean win over John Cena and the WWE World championship. Because the WWE wasn’t in a good position after the draft with its SmackDown brand, they needed to fill out their roster. Ziggler and Miz put on a good showing; Miz showing a more aggressive side and Ziggler putting on his usual fun performance. Mind blown, yeah? He really does show up all the time, and do everything WWE needs him to do in and out of the ring, and he is maybe being setup to hold on to the Intercontinental title for some time until SmackDown is ready to push him toward something even greater.

Wyatt looked poised for victory when he chucked The Demon into a chair, only for Orton to emerge from the locker room, plant his rival with an RKO and watch Kane chokeslam his way to a win. There are few people in the entire world that are better wrestlers than Styles, and he knows it. Orton is here to prove that losing to Lesnar in his return to WWE doesn’t mean he’s anywhere near finished.

After the match, it announced that Bray Wyatt will be competing in a No Holds Barred match against the man he defeated in an Inferno match, Kane. The WWE’s “Apex Predator” was supposed to face Bray in an intense clash, but Bray ambushed Randy ahead of the match!

Not surprisingly, The Usos easily polished off The Hype Bros in the second-chance match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. Winners: The Usos. MATTHEW BYER: The finals will be The Usos versus Slater and Rhyno. After a tournament that has featured teams like Breezango and the Headbangers (you read that right), but it culminates tonight in the finals. But they were stopped cold in the Tag Team Championship finals, as Rhyno charged at Jimmy Uso with his Gore finisher and gave him and Heath Slater the belts. There is more stuff which you can’t afford to miss at WWE Backlash. The Usos appeared to be in control when this match kicked off, as they worked on Slater and focused some damaging attacks on him. The Usos are the winners here. After a tough tag-teaming fight, Heath and Rhyno stunned everyone with a huge win! The Hype Bros – With the recent heel turn of The Usos, it would make sense for them to win early and fight for the title. Especially since he has like, 18 kids to feed. A massive brawl to start off with, this match couldn’t be contained in the ring and quickly spilled out of control. Each time Ambrose looked like he was taking control of the match, his comeback was short-circuited, and judging from the crowd’s reaction, it seemed as if they wanted Styles more often than not. But it was time for a new champ to be the face of Smackdown, as AJ’s assault eventually caught up with Ambrose.

The bout featured Smackdown’s collection of female Superstars including Nikki Bella, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Naomi, Carmella and Alexa Bliss. Rhyno got a decent pop for tagging in this match, too. She and Natalya also had exchanges during the match, so there is possibility that we may see the two have a small feud. While I typically wouldn’t bet against Nikki, I think the WWE will want her in a secondary women’s feud with Carmella after this match. Even though it’s on Smackdown, it’s still the title with the lineage that goes though the legends.
