Glastonbury festival confirms fallow year for 2018

Weymouth and his wife attended this year’s Glastonbury, the muddiest ever, which Eavis says contributes towards Weymouth not wanting to host a music event at Longleat.

The future ofGlastonbury is reportedly under threat, with festival founder Michael Eavis’ plans to relocate the festival to nearby Longleat said to have fallen through.

Loaded previously reported that Michael Eavis had confirmed they would stage a one-off festival “20 miles up the road” in 2018, with rumours suggesting Longleat would be the new location.

The last fallow year was 2012.

Tickets for next year’s Glastonbury Festival will go on sale in October then the event will take a break for a year in 2018, organisers have said.

Rumoured headliners for 2017 include Guns N’ Roses, Radiohead and The Stone Roses.
