Gall immediately took Punk down with a lovely double-leg takedown and started landing some hard punches.

Punk ran out too aggressively in the beginning with his hands up, not looking for the takedown and Gall was able to shoot clean and get him to the ground.

Meanwhile, Dana White, president of the mixed martial arts organisation, has hinted that Punk shouldn’t have his next fight in UFC.

The list includes Brock Lesnar, Dan “The Beast” Severn and Ken Shamrock.

Punk also discussed strategy, saying “I think I was a late throwing the (right hand) and then I got taken down”, while discussing his gameplan to pressure Gall and “come back with my shield or on it”. “This was a hell of a mountain to try and climb”. “I told him that everyone else is going to say that about you through your entire career”. After the doubts and physical hurdles overcome throughout his preparation, the 37-year-old fighter seems glad for the ride. I know there’s a lot of doubters, but listen, life’s about falling down and getting back up.

The fight was one of the most anticipated UFC events of recent times and the hype was visible from the moment the fighters walked into the arena.

Almost two years after signing with the UFC, CM Punk finally made his debut on Saturday night (Sept. 10) at UFC 203. and suffered a lopsided loss.

“He probably shouldn’t have his next fight in the UFC”.

British fighter Michael Bisping is now the franchise’s middleweight champion. “That’s what it’s doing, so it’s just a source of stress that I just need to get out from under”.

“I want “Super” Sage Northcutt”.
