Diego Costa nets brace as Chelsea rescue point against Swansea
Diego Costa scored twice, including an 81st-minute equaliser, as Antonio Conte maintained his unbeaten start to life as Chelsea manager in a 2-2 draw at Swansea City on Sunday.

And following two more spurned chances from Oscar, Costa arrived on the scene in the 81st minute to score his second and haul Chelsea level, firing home an overhead kick after Swansea had failed to deal with the danger in the box.
In the 59th minute goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois gave away a penalty by fouling Gylfi Sigurdsson after a Swansea counter-attack and the Iceland global got up to convert it.
The goal, Costa’s fourth in as many games, spared Conte from his first loss in English football after two controversial Swansea goals in three second-half minutes had cancelled out Costa’s opener.
With Swansea heading for a memorable victory, Chelsea laid siege to Fabianski’s goal and, after Branislav Ivanovic’s shot was blocked, Costa’s acrobatic finish levelled the match.
“I don’t know the extent of the injury but tomorrow we will see the situation about his ankle”.
Willian’s fierce drive forced a fifth-minute save from Lukasz Fabianski and it was a matter of when, not if, Chelsea would open the scoring as Swansea struggled to get to grips with their new system.
It all added up to one of the most dramatic Premier League games of the season so far, which Chelsea, who had 28 attempts on goal, dominated for nearly an hour.
Swansea did not threaten until Sigurdsson went close from 20 yards five minutes before the break.
Costa nearly wrapped up a man-of-the-match performance with a hat-trick when he was put through by Hazard but Fabianski was equal to his shot and the points were shared. There were two fouls, and between the officials they have said that they couldn’t see it.
And then Fer profited from Marriner’s mistake and squeezing the ball past Courtois and over the line.
Chelsea responded instantly and should have doubled their lead, with Costa missing a far easier opening than the one he had converted earlier, shooting wide of an open goal from a Willian corner.
