It is his first win for nearly two years and reward for a brilliantly consistent 2016 so far that saw him come into the week with eight top tens including two runner-up finishes and represent his country at the Olympic Men’s Golf Competition. “I missed one shot when I went in the water on 13 but besides that I didn’t do much wrong”, he said. “I haven’t had as many playing opportunities this year but when I can play I am enjoying it”.

Spijk – Scott Hend is aiming to go one better on Sunday after storming into the lead for the final round of a European Tour event for a second week in a row.
He finished three clear of Bernd Wiesberger of Austria, who shot 6-under to finish second on 16 under.

Hend, meanwhile, was steady with three straight pars before his first mistake of the day came at the fourth.
The momentum swung around the turn when the Dutchman picked up shots at the ninth and tenth, which gave Luiten a two-shot cuhsion when Hend ran up a double-bogey at the ninth.

Hend and fellow Olympian Marcus Fraser were the only two of the eight Australians in the field to make the cut.
