Trump not qualified to be president: Obama

Clinton, the Democratic presidential candidate, seized on Trump’s assertion in a televised forum Wednesday that Putin’s incursions into neighboring countries, crackdown on Russia’s independent press, and support for America’s enemies were no less troublesome than Obama’s transgressions.

“I think under the leadership of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton the generals have been reduced to rubble”, said Trump. “They have been reduced to a point that’s embarrassing for our country”, Trump said at NBC’s “Commander-in-Chief” forum in NY attended by military veterans.

On Wednesday, Trump said he expects to have very good relations with Russian Federation and President Putin if elected to become the next U.S. president. “But certainly in that system he’s been a leader, far more than our president has been a leader”.

Donald Trump defended a comment he made in 2013 that sexual assault in the USA military happened because men and women serve alongside each other. The statement drew broad criticism, prompting him to take a more disciplined approach to campaigning. And we’re not putting ground troops into Syria.

Trump also outlined proposals for an active army of around 540,000 troops, an air force of at least 1,200 fighter aircraft, a 36-battalion marine corps and a navy of 350 surface ships and submarines – though he provided no details on how he would persuade Congress to pay for it all. Trump has made five stops in the state, and he outlined his immigration platform in his most recent speech in Phoenix.

“Questions they should have been asked on that score, they simply were not asked”. And so we must learn what led us down that path so that it never happens again.

Liberals and conservatives were split about Lauer’s decision to open his questioning of Clinton with the controversy over her private email server.

Questioned back-to-back but not face-to-face, the presidential foes will address an audience of veterans and active-duty troops – and a national TV audience – from the decommissioned USS Intrepid, which is now a floating museum in NY. “I make no excuses for it”, Clinton responded, stressing she had not improperly handled classified information.

Appearing on the second half of the hour-long show, Trump quickly abandoned Lauer’s entreaties to avoid attacking his opponent and focus on what he would do if elected president on November 8.

“Women all over this country heard very clearly what Mr. Trump said”, she said. “We need change, and we need it fast”. Burton, a former deputy White House press secretary, noted that Lauer’s hard-line questioning of Clinton was not the problem, but the fact that he did not grill Trump in the same way.

“He wants Donald Trump to win this election, in part because of the romance that we’ve seen between the two”, Morell, a Clinton supporter, said of Trump in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union”.

“This will require military warfare, but also cyberwarfare, financial warfare and ideological warfare”, Trump said during an address in Philadelphia.
