Aston Villa’s Leandro Bacuna makes truly weird Rose of Tralee appearance

The 22-year-old from Bettystown, Co Meath, told host Dáithí Ó Sé that she is a student at the Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin, but has considered alternative career options such as “joining the circus”.

The blossoming rose was crowned last night at the second of two live shows at the Dome in Fels Point, Tralee.

The Rose of Tralee is annually the most watched program on Irish television as 32 women from all over the world compete.

It says there were 52,000 tweets using the Rose of Tralee hashtag, with a peak of 140 a minute.

Elysha will now spend the coming year driving a new Kia pro_cee’d from McElligotts Tralee and Kia Motors Ireland, valued at €24,000.
