Ohio Man Charged With Manslaughter For Shooting Burglar
A homeowner is being charged with voluntary manslaughter for chasing and killing a man who attempted to break into his home.

Police say Glover’s death was “a proximate cause of Terry Tart and Glover committing the aggravated burglary together”.
Investigators say the problem is that Glover was fleeing the scene and was chased by Hillis and shot down the block.
Two men, Marcus Glover, 25 and Terry Tart, 37, broke into the home in Akron around 2 p.m.
Hillis then pulled a gun, and fired shots as Glover and Tart were running away, police say.
When police arrived they found Glover’s body two houses along from Hillis’s property, while Tart escaped into a nearby wooded area but was later caught.
Tart, meanwhile, was released from prison in May 2014 after serving nine years for two armed robberies, one in Akron and one in Barberton.
Hillis told police he killed Glover in self-defense.

Hillis was arraigned in Akron Municipal Court and booked into the Summit County Jail.
