Bill Clinton says Hillary is ‘doing fine’

Trump is also taking advantage of the news of Clinton’s illness to announce that he had a physical last week and would be revealing “very, very specific” results this week.
“I think it’s exceedingly important that Hillary Clinton be transparent about what’s going on”, said presidential historian Douglas Brinkley. Late Sunday evening, she canceled a California campaign swing scheduled for early this week.
Trump is ahead with 48.7 percent, and Clinton follows with 45.8 percent.
He was referring to the decision not to bring charges against Clinton for using a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state.
He also said Clinton’s team would be releasing medical records “in the next few days” in order to “further put to rest any lingering concerns about what you saw yesterday”.
The Democratic presidential nominee told CNN in a phone interview she did feel dizzy and lost her balance while attending a 9/11 commemoration ceremony in NY, but now is “feeling so much better”.
Clinton, 68, has twice been diagnosed with blood clots in her legs.
Ms Clinton has cancelled a two-day swing through California and is instead resting at her home in upstate NY.
On Friday, Mrs Clinton told donors that “half” of Mr Trump’s supporters are in a “basket of deplorables” – a comment that drew sharp criticism from Republicans.
Jeanne Zaino, a professor of political science at Iona College in NY, said the parties have kept the process “purposely vague because it gives them the opportunity to make the best decision, rather than tie their hands with some kind of process that would give them a nominee they will not be comfortable with”.
Clinton said in the live telephone interview with CNN that she started to feel hot at the event, which took place on a muggy day in NY. But she felt immediately better after getting into her air-conditioned vehicle.
The public was left in the dark about Clinton’s whereabouts for about 90 minutes, sparking widespread speculation about her condition.
They are: Clinton running mate Tim Kaine, grassroots darling and Clinton’s primary challenger Bernie Sanders, and current Vice President Joe Biden.
The Republican presidential nominee said that being elected to the White House means: “You’re president of all the people”.
