‘Now the school and the NCAA are saying that it is against the rules. Players were using the money to buy other items such as pencils, notebooks, electronics and clothes. In a statement Friday, the university said it is working with the NCAA, the Big South Conference and “an outside consultant” to review any additional rule violations.
