Totti: I was afraid I would miss penalty
Francesco Totti celebrates after netting Roma’s victor against Sampdoria.

Roma, who failed to reach the Champions League group stages last month after a 4-1 aggregate defeat to Porto, let slip a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Cagliari last Sunday and went in at the interval 2-1 down here despite taking an eighth-minute lead through Salah’s header. “You just can’t afford to miss under the Curva”, Totti told Sky Sports, with reference to the popular Curva Sud end at Roma’s home ground.
Roma looked to be heading for a hard second half at the Stadio Olympico after Sampdoria surged to a 2-1 half-time lead.
First, Totti set up fellow half-time substitute Edin Dzeko to level the scores, before Roma were awarded a penalty in the second minute of stoppage time.
The start of the second half of the match at Roma’s Olympic Stadium was delayed due to a saturated pitch.
And coach Luciano Spalletti said he wants to find players who can emulate Totti in the future.
I fancy the Giallorossi to get back to winning ways here; however, their record of having kept one clean-sheet in four games this term while conceding in each of their last three encounters with Sampdoria makes backing a home with goals for both teams and +3.5 goals appeal at 7/4 apiece.
Napoli sit in second place, also two points behind Juve, following a 3-0 rout of Palermo on Saturday when Jose Callejon added a brace to Marek Hamsik’s 47th minute opener.

Torino made light of injury-enforced absences up front to take a 54th minute lead through Iago Falque.
