Anderson Cooper Grills Clinton Over Lack of Transparency on Her Health

“I’m feeling so much better”, the Democratic nominee said on the phone with CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” program.

Like anyone who’s ever been home sick from work, I’m just anxious to get back out there.

HollywoodLifers, do you think Hillary should be out on the campaign trail while still battling pneumonia?

Clinton explained the events of Sunday, when she abruptly left a 9/11 memorial ceremony in NY with her campaign telling people she felt “overheated”. A day after she expressed regret for calling half of Trump’s supporters a “basket of deplorables” – a gaffe Trump compared with Mitt Romney’s “47 per cent” self-inflicted wound four years ago – Clinton suffered another wobble, literally. Fallon said he “can attest” that there is “no other undisclosed condition”.

She is due to hold a public event in Las Vegas on Wednesday, which remains on her schedule at present.

Clinton’s doctor also said she had become “overheated and dehydrated” at Sunday’s ceremony, but is “recovering nicely”. “Something’s going on but I just hope she gets well”, he said.

Clinton’s physician released a statement revealing that the candidate was diagnosed with pneumonia last Friday. “Antibiotics can take care of pneumonia”. Barack Obama’s former chief political strategist David Axelrod criticised the campaign shroud of secrecy that surrounds the Democratic candidate.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest on Monday said it’s up to the candidates to make their own decisions about how and when to release medical information.

About 90 minutes after the episode, Clinton emerged and waved to onlookers. A bystander caught Clinton on camera struggling to walk and her legs seemingly buckling. “And she had two-and-a-half hard days before the day when she got dizzy”. And I could, you know, feel how hot and humid it was.

Hillary Clinton did call into a fundraiser event Monday night in San Francisco after she took to social media earlier in the day to give an update on her health. Clinton canceled a California campaign fundraising trip after she fell ill at a 9/11 memorial ceremony Sunday and her doctor revealed she was diagnosed with pneumonia.

Perhaps anticipating this line of criticism, Trump said in a television interview today morning that he would release more, “very, very specific” medical information soon.

Though Trump on Monday said health was a campaign issue, the 70-year-old did not attack Clinton over her physical condition. But it was not known if that was the source of Clinton’s infection.

Democrats including her running mate Tim Kaine rushed to her defense. Chuck Schumer told her during the September 11 memorial that he, too, was recovering from pneumonia for the past five days.

“Well, if it is then it’s a mystery to me and all of her doctors.”

Video from outside the event appeared to show Clinton’s knees buckling as she got into her van. “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic – you name it”, Clinton said Friday.

During an interview with CBS News’ Charlie Rose, the former president said that Hillary Clinton has “on more than one occasion” had a fainting episode after becoming “severely dehydrated”.
