Roberto Firmino Sparkles In Liverpool’s Win Over Leicester City In Premier League
Mane, who joined the Reds in a club-record £36m transfer earlier this summer, has already scored twice for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season, including a well-executed finish in Saturday’s 4-1 win over Premier league champions Leicester.

Firmino opened scoring for the Reds in the 13th minute when he latched on to James Milner’s ideal pass from the left side and Brazilan forward turned his marker Robert Huth before calmly slotting the ball past Kasper Schmeichel. It was his second goal of the new season.
But Lucas Leiva’s ghastly mistake gifted Jamie Vardy a lifeline for the Foxes, and Liverpool were relieved when Robert Huth’s header from sub Luis Hernandez’s long throw bounced on top of the bar with Simon Mignolet all at sea.
But Liverpool reclaimed their two-goal lead shortly after halftime thanks to a fierce shot from Adam Lallana.
Leicester have secured just one victory in four league matches this season following two defeats and a draw.
The German appreciated the sentiment but called on fans to hold off until the final whistle in the future, reminding them that games can turn if players lose concentration.
The Leicester manager insisted his players would snap out of their despondency at losing 4-1 at Anfield quickly due to the lure of facing Club Brugge on Wednesday.
The Brazilian bagged the first goal at Anfield this season after receiving a clever ball from James Milner, before taking a touch to negate his marker and coolly finishing past Kasper Schmeichel.
‘But the players mental energy will return much quicker because everyone wants to play in the Champions League in Bruges’. It’s our job to prove that we are as strong as I think we are. It was OK and we have to clean our mind.
“Liverpool were very expansive”.
“But I hope we can do better”.
“We scored wonderful goals… and conceded a not-too-wonderful goal!” “He wasn’t really ready for 90 minutes, the plan was he would be on the bench but after training we knew he would have to play.

We were waiting for this kind of football, very aggressive and with great spirit”, he told BT Sport. Everything they tried to do was okay and it was hard for us.
