Microsoft Just Can’t Stop Making Fun of Apple in Surface Ads

The rumored new entry from the MacBook Pro series was not present during the company’s biggest event this year. Nonetheless, speculations are rampant suggesting that the 2016 MacBook Pro will arrive with a slimmer and lighter design.

Microsoft’s Surface Pro 5 is easily one of the most awaited products of the year from Microsoft and is scheduled for a possible October launch later this year.

With the iPhone 7/7 Plus and Apple Watch 2 now out in the open, attention shifts to the MacBook Pro 2016 believed to be coming in the Fall.

According to the online publication Science World Report, the release date of the new line of MacBook Pro was highly anticipated to be announced during Apple’s iPhone Sept. 7 event. However, Apple did not announce anything about it during last week’s event. According to leaks, the Surface Pro 5 sports a thickness of 10mm in all of its different screen sized variants and weighs nearly exactly 1 Kg which is 0.11 Kg lighter than the HP Spectre 13.

Meanwhile, other reports state that Apple CEO Tim Cook has responded to a MacRumors reader’s email inquiring about the release of MacBook Pro 2016 by suggesting that updates to the Mac lineup will come soon. It is only logical that they make their announcement as early as October for a MacBook Pro 2017 first quarter launch. The CEO added that the company is “very committed” to the MacBook Pro laptop line. In the previous iPad Pro commercial, Microsoft’s personal assistant Cortana let customers, and Siri, know that the iPad lacks an Intel Core i7 processor, full access to Microsoft Office beyond the mobile app versions, a trackpad, and external port options, making Microsoft’s tablet more of a computer than Apple’s 12.9-inch tablet. It is said to have an OLED touch bar or Dynamic Function Row right above the keyboard replacing the traditional function keys.

Bloomberg reported that in over four years, Apple Inc is bringing back the MacBook Pro with significant overhauls, have also speculated that this move is to counteract Apple’s two quarters of diminishing sales.

MacBook Pro 2016 may replace the 3.5mm audio jack with wireless headphones, similar to the recently launched Apple iPhone 7.
