Nelly in tax trouble
Bottom line: Life’s not too gravy for Nelly right now, and Uncle Sam is coming in hot for his cash.

Yesterday (September 11), news broke that everyone’s favorite bandage-rocking rapper owes the IRS a whopping $2.4 million.
Guys, Nelly is in trouble and it’s up to us to save him. Reportedly, because the amount of money owed is so large, the government could start seizing Nelly’s assets and property.
Sources close to Nelly tell the outlet he’s working with the tax authorities to resolve the issues. Not only does the 41-year-old owe the Missouri Department of Revenue $149,511 in unpaid taxes, he was also hit with $2,412,283 federal tax lien last month. He’s set to perform a special concert in his hometown of St. Louis with the St. Louis Symphony.
The idea is to get as many people as possible to stream his 2002 hit single “Hot In Herre” over and over and over again.

Back in August, Nelly’s debut album, 2000’s Country Grammar, also became the eighth hip-hop album in history to become diamond certified by RIAA.
