Kerala drenched with spirit of Eid-al-Adha
In Arabic Eid al-Adha means “Sacrifice Feast” and is one of the two major Muslim holidays celebrated each year. The start of Eid al-Adha depends on the new moon sighting of the Islamic lunar calendar, so it shifts slightly from year to year on the Gregorian calendar.

The Eid al-Adha is Islam’s holiest festival celebrated annually around the world and an official holiday in Muslim-majority countries.

Millions of worshippers performed Eid Al-Adha prayers at the Grand Mosque, the Prophet’s Mosque and most parts of the world, while Hajj pilgrims are still flocking to Mina to throw seven pebbles at Jamarat Al-Aqaba, following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
