Palmer apparenly does not feel bad for suspended Tom Brady

Tom Brady may not be playing a football game this week, but the suspended quarterback is not completely out of sight.

The Patriots quarterback told Westwood One’s Jim Gray before Thursday night’s game between the Panthers and Broncos that he’ll break down opponents and dissect plays aas though he’s planning to be suited up with his teammates through September. “I think we as players need to stand together so collectively we can be as strong as possible and the National Football League can continue to provide and be as great of a game as it is”.

In terms of your classic bulletin board material, this likely ranks near the bottom of things that should really move the meter. I was certainly very humbled and flattered to see it.

Brady said he thinks the system “can always be improved”.

Tom Brady won’t be needing his helmet in Week 1.

Brady’s battle with the National Football League over Deflategate has been a legal proving ground for Goodell and the NFL.

“I have great respect for the guys that fought to stand up for the rights of the players, just as myself and certain players did in 2011”, he said on the program. I just hope the helmet’s functional, that’s all I’m trying to get the helmet to be.

And he reacted to Julian Edelman saying Brady’s absence in Foxboro is like his best friend is in jail.

And if you’re keeping score at home, this is the same Bob Costas that said last summer that Brady’s “cover-up” was worse than the “crime” and said “It’s not terrible, but it became terrible because of the way the league perhaps overreacted and Brady himself didn’t say what he could’ve said”.

“I feel like I don’t have the opportunity to do something I love to do”. “That’s the hard part about the situation we’re in”. But, like I said, I’m going to try to be positive about that and spend some quality time with my family and pick my kids up from school and do some things I won’t have the opportunity to do in October, November and December and for the years to come.

Most of the time, people stop talking about preseason games about five minutes after they happen, but that didn’t happen with this game because of something peculiar that went on with Brady’s equipment. Brady then said he hopes Garoppolo makes the most of the opportunity.
