The shoulder blade is rarely broken – it only makes up 1 percent of all fractures – but when it does break it is result of a blunt trauma, which is what Griffin encountered when he ran chest first into Philadelphia defensive back Jalen Mills.
Now, the Browns will turn to McCown as their starting quarterback for at least the next eight weeks. Griffin finished the game through the injury.
Griffin was hurt in Sunday’s 29-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. “To get hit him that moment kind of surprised me there”. It just so happens that their marriage turned out to be flawless for the wrong reason – because it produced more of the morose same for both the player and the francise. That was a major mistake, and it’s fair to criticize him for that, just as it’s fair to criticize any quarterback who doesn’t protect himself.
