“Can’t get over how handsome you are and I’m about to cry”, Melissa Kitchens, 45, said in a comment on a Facebook photograph of her 25-year-old son Shaun Pfeiffer.

The pair were arrested by Buncombe County Police and are both being held ahead of court appearances later this month. The woman’s son has also been accused of being intoxicated and indecent liberties with a child. She was arrested on 7 September.
He lives in a home with his wife Shannon Roman and his mother in Asheville, North Carolina.
He appears to have posted a picture of his mother online as recently as last month.
In one comment of a picture with Pfeiffer and his son, his mother wrote: “Can’t get over how handsome you are”.

Pfeiffer’s Facebook page says that he is self-employed and shows pictures of his wife Shannon Roman and their toddler son.
Kitchens is being held on a $5,000 bail and will next appear in court on 29 September.
Pfeiffer is in jail in lieu of $70,500 bail and Kitchens is being held on $30,000, with court dates scheduled for September 29 and 30, respectively.

Incest is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison in Oklahoma.
