Bradford’s eager embrace of trade shows this was right move for everyone
The Vikings, who boldy traded for Sam Bradford on Saturday, haven’t provided any timetable on Bridgewater’s recovery, but admitted having Bradford under contract through 2017 was a big part of the allure in making the deal.

“It’s not an extreme difference for what we’re doing this week, to be honest with you”. The Vikings tied for seventh previous year with 43 sacks, and there’s the potential to land higher. “But I can’t tell you if that’s going to be the case or not”.
And with the extra picks that the team has during the 2017 draft, the Vikings have plenty of ammunition to move around in the draft if they like, maybe even moving back into the first round of the draft.

The Minnesota Vikings are choosing to keep their quarterback plans under wraps for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans. But based on Bradford and Zimmer’s comments on Monday, it would not be too surprising if a quarterback change was made before the game. Me personally, in my own opinion, I felt like he’s been put in some bad situations down in St. Louis (where Bradford played from 2010-14), and a couple injuries slowed him down a little bit. Hill initially was listed before the team announced he and Bradford would address the media separately in the locker room. “So you can get your moles out”.
In the middle of the piece, in what mistakenly could read as a throwaway line, Vikings general manager Rick Spielman admits the unknown nature about the serious nature of Bridgewater’s frightening knee injury. He is one of the best defensive minds in the league, and they still haven’t given him a ton of weapons to work with.

The Minnesota Vikings were excited to see what starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater could do this season. Bridgewater’s absence hasn’t deterred the Vikings from thinking big, though. Free agents Alex Boone and Andre Smith have taken over at left guard and right tackle.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, Kosar’s offensive coordinator that year was none other than Norv Turner.
Mularkey, on the other hand, said Tennessee is not splitting reps with different scout quarterbacks, in an attempt to account for two different passers who could play Sunday.

Asked if starting the game following a short stretch of preparation could have any adverse effects on his confidence going forward, Bradford said, “I’ve been through quite a few ups and downs in this league”.
