Police say detectives have obtained an arrest warrant charging 18-year-old Andres Rafael Quintana Garcia, a relative of both children, with first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree attempted murder assault and reckless endangerment. The boy was taken to the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
The girl will be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy to determine the exact cause and manner of her death.
Police say Garcia is considered a violent and risky subject. They are now in the custody of MPD, however, Anne Arundel County police are working to obtain warrants and the State’s Attorney will move to extradite the suspects.
“He is described by police as a White/Hispanic male, approximately 5’05” tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds with brown hair and eyes. Police said he fled the home where the stabbing occurred on foot wearing gray-colored clothing.
