Clinton Claims Trump’s Praise of Russian President Putin ‘Unpatriotic’

Pence allowed later in the interview that Trump did say he didn’t much care for the Russian system of government, but still thought Vladimir Putin was the “stronger leader”.

The FBI recommended against any charges after concluding a lengthy investigation of Clinton’s use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state and the Justice Department heeded that recommendation.

TRUMP: Well, the generals under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have not been successful.

Attendees look on as Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton speaks during the NBC News Commander-in-Chief Forum on September 7, 2016 in New York City.

Friday’s remark was reminiscent of Trump’s comment earlier this year when he said that he could shoot somebody in the middle of New York’s busy 5th Avenue and not lose any support.

“We don’t play games”, he said in a memo to Federal Bureau of Investigation agents some of whom were reportedly sharply critical of the decision not to charge Clinton despite finding her “extremely careless” in handling the nation’s secrets as America’s top diplomat.

Trump’s charge is that Clinton, a former US secretary of state and former USA senator, has profited from a “rigged” political system. “It’s a very different system and I don’t happen to like the system, but certainly, in that system, he’s been a leader, far more than our president has been a leader”.

House Speaker Paul Ryan said Thursday he disagreed with Trump’s characterization of Putin, calling the Russian leader “an aggressor that does not share our interests” who “is violating the sovereignty of neighboring countries”. During a forum last week, Trump said Putin has been a leader “far more than our president has been a leader”.

“Shortly after being inaugurated I would invite the prime minister to Washington for meetings, I would send my joint chiefs and intelligence experts to Israel to meet with their counterparts”, she said in an interview with Israeli Channel Two television aired on Thursday.

Some of those Republicans will join Clinton Friday for what she dubbed a “working session” on the threat of terrorism. Those attending the event include Michael Chertoff, who served as Homeland Security secretary under President George W. Bush.

The Republican nominee said Schlafly was “there for me when it was not at all fashionable”. But she defended her support for USA military intervention to help oust a dictator in Libya, despite the chaotic aftermath.

“I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters”, Trump said during a campaign rally in January in Iowa.

The Republican also repeated an incorrect claim that he was opposed to the war with Iraq before the invasion.
