Patriots Color Rush Jerseys: Pats Going All-Blue For Tilt With Texans

What do you think, Nation?

The Cincinnati Bengals will wear all white jerseys for their “Color Rush” game this fall, according to Twitter account NFL Leaks.

The numerals will be in the block font throughout that period.

The Dolphins have previously worn orange uniforms but not full orange.

The Patriots also tweeted this picture of the jerseys with a close-up look at the detail in the new set, featuring the saying “We are all Patriots” on the inside of the back collar.

The helmet will remain the same, per the NFL’s one-helmet rule instituted in 2013. Of course, then there’s the black trousers that seem to work a little better than the gray they used a decade ago.

The closest any team came to such a look in the last 75 years was in 1995, when Tampa Bay’s head coach, Sam Wyche, wanted his Buccaneers to wear orange jerseys with orange trousers for a nationally-televised regular-season finale.

Other teams that will wear white include the Browns – since their all-brown uniforms would blend with the Ravens’ purple – and the Rams against the Seahawks – since distinguishing yellow from green would be an issue.

A Detroit Lions alternate uniform was among 24 NFL Color Rush uniforms unveiled by the NFL today.

Orange is the Broncos’ identity – from the Orange Crush heyday of the 1970s and 1980s to being “United in Orange” during recent postseason runs.

The Color Rush uniform is the most substantial addition to the Lions uniform package since 2009 when they introduced their current look. The concept was to design alternative uniforms to exclusively wear during Thursday’s games. It will be an all black uniform with gold numbers.
