49ers’ Colin Kaepernick addresses Muslim rumors amid anthem protest

With that being the case, it should come as no surprise that O’Neal spoke his mind when asked about San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s protest of the National Anthem during a recent appearance on Fox and Friends on Fox News.

On Tuesday (September 6), reports showed off how much of a merchandise impact Kaep’s controversy has generated.

EISEN: Do you have an opinion on Colin Kaepernick?

“I applaud him for taking a stand and hopefully the conversation is about his message, and not, ‘Is he going to stand or is he going to sit for the national anthem?'” Curry added.

On a list of all jerseys available on NFLShop.com, Kaepernick’s was first when arranged by “Top Sellers”, surpassing the jerseys for high-profile rookie players Carson Wentz of the Philadelphia Eagles and Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys.

I love that there’s freedom of speech and he can stand up for what he believes in. “But I think that [rumor about conversion] comes along with people’s fear of this protest, as well as Islamophobia in this country”. “I’ve never watched a football game but I’ve just bought a Colin Kaepernick jersey that I will proudly wear”, tweeted Twitter user Sean Friday. I hope that all resources and conversations and intellect across the country will be able to figure out a way to make that million dollars as powerful as it can be – which is, he’s on the right track. The NFL gets going Thursday, and we’ll start to see whether or not other players join in over the next few days.

Since Kaepernick began his protest, many fans have said on social media that they want to purchase his jersey as a sign of solidarity.
