San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen has been placed on injured reserve after an MRI confirmed a torn ACL.

It’s unknown whether or not he’ll play in the Chargers Week 2 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but due to the lengthy offseason contract holdout, it seems that Bosa may be a bit behind the 8-ball at this point. When he was carted off, he was covering his face with his hand.

A fourth-year wide receiver out of California, Allen had six catches for 63 yards when he crumbled to the turf late in the first half Sunday.

Allen was having a big day for the Chargers, who led 21-3 at the time of injury.

While running back Danny Woodhead led the Chargers in receptions a year ago and tight end Antonio Gates was third on the team, behind Allen, Stevie Johnson’s 45 receptions were fourth and Dontrelle Inman was next among receivers with 35 catches.

Benjamin had a team-high seven receptions in the loss to the Chiefs, but for only 32 yards. His career best was his rookie year, when he had 1,046 yards and eight touchdowns in 15 games.
