Zlatan Ibrahimovic on What Marcus Rashford Needs to Learn

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has showered praise on Manchester United’s 18-year-old sensation Marcus Rashford and has said that the youngster can be his successor in the long run.

Rashford earned a place in the England squad at Euro 2016 in France following his sparkling displays in the second half of last season.

“They say you never know when you are close to the first team”. “He has a lot of time”.

Feyenoord are no pushover and are riding high in the Eredivisie right now so the last thing United can afford to do is be complacent after the Manchester derby and although it would be a somewhat pragmatic move, bringing in Carrick as a deep lying midfielder could be the move that allows United to dictate the tempo of the game far more.

The 18-year-old striker has developed into one of the Premier League’s most promising young talents since breaking into the Red Devils’ first team under Louis van Gaal last season.

“We know his quality and what he’s able to do”.

The veteran Swedish striker said there was no need to put pressure on Rashford.

“Time by time, he will take over everything”.

The 23-year-old French global was criticised for his sub-standard performance in the match as Manchester United lost to cross-town rivals Manchester City 1-2 at Old Trafford on Saturday.

He had a goal ruled offside but had an impressive 45 minutes, although he could not help his side to take anything from the game, as they came out second best in a 2-1 loss to their bitter rivals.

Regarding his relationship with Rashford, Zlatan told MUTV: “I’ll help him every day, him and all the others, in any way I can”. Despite taking a pay cut in order to reunite with former manager Jose Mourinho for his first taste of Premier League football, the player still receives an estimated £220k-a-week from United.
