Packers Ink Extension With Bakhtiari

The Green Bay Packers and offensive tackle David Bakhtiari came to terms on a four-year contract extension Tuesday that will keep him in green and gold through the 2020 season.

This is Bakhtiari’s fourth season with the Packers.

With the Pack healthy and with Bakhtiari given a vote (and paycheck) of confidence, the Packers are ready to return back to the mix of the NFL’s elite.

His teammates expressed support for the signing on social media, including Lang, fellow tackle Bryan Bulaga, guard Lane Taylor and linebacker Datone Jones.

According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, the Packers had about $16.7 million in salary cap space following the releases of guard Josh Sitton and punter Tim Masthay. For now, it appears that the deal likely has a signing bonus of about million, which would be spread out over this season and the four new years of his deal.

The deal makes Bakhtiari one of the top five offensive lineman in the league. During his three seasons in Green Bay, he’s started 46-of-48 games for them and has been vital in protecting quarterback Aaron Rodger’s blind side.

Last month, the Green Bay Packers’ decision-makers pulled T.J.

When asked how that might impact his situation, a stunned-looking Bakhtiari said: “I have no f– idea”.
