Speaking to FOX Sports earlier today (September 13), Wayne was asked by Skip Bayless, the co-host of the network’s show Undisputed, whether he would walk away from music as his tweet had suggested.
The iconic rapper cleared the air on his retirement tweet, revealing he still wanted to quit the game.
According to Twitter, Wayne’s not retiring and only said he was because of an argument with Birdman.
Wayne explains that he was at his “tipping point” at the time he sent the tweets, and that the argument stemmed from “what’s going on”, aka the Birdman beef.
But the real scare came when a clearly frustrated Weezy tweeted, “I am now defenseless and mentally defeated & I leave gracefully and thankful I luh my fanz but I’m dun”. “I have a family”. I have kids. I have a mother.
But now we’re finally gonna get our answer once and for all. when Weezy sits down on “Undisputed” at 9:30 AM ET, 6:30 AM PT on Tuesday. don’t miss it. “I didn’t take it down”.
“No sir”, Wayne replied, before Sharpe asked if he was looking for his “pay day” from Birdman in order to finish dealing with him.
“The artists I don’t know, the Kendrick Lamars and other people, I was like, ‘Wow, I didn’t know it mattered, ‘” he said in addition.
