West was in the middle of performing his 2010 hit single “Power” when a member of the audience grabbed onto his signature floating stage that hangs above concert goers.
Perhaps inevitably, a punter made a decision to try his hand at scaling the thing – and thanks to a boost from his mates, actually managed to get his hand up within spitting distance of Yeezy.
The fan let go soon after and dropped back into the Philips Arena crowd, as seen in a video posted by another attendee at the show. It is a visual that has been repeatedly posted across social media since the trek began. “But the show continued and not much was said about it”.
Indeed, the delays to the show were not the only thing that caused controversy, with Kanye facing a barrage of backlash before it even happened after sending out a casting call for “multiracial women only”.

Yeezy has been using his floating stage design on his current Saint Pablo tour, with the idea that there is “technically no stage”.
