This weekend should be seasonably warm with a 20 percent chance for storms each day. We’ll see some occasional showers and storms during the afternoon.
Rain chances increase Wednesday and Thursday as an upper level disturbance moves into our area from the northwest. The heaviest rain for today has already moved by.
Wednesday and Thursday brings more rain, mainly in the afternoon. Temperatures will drop into the low 60s. A lead disturbance is rotating around the base of this trough and will provide a chance for showers and thunderstorms this morning through midday across part of northern OK and southern Kansas. The rain has cooled us down to the 60s outside under a mostly cloudy sky. It will be very warm and humid all day with highs in the upper 80s for NWA and low 90s in the River Valley. If you’re going to a high school football game on Friday, make sure you are ready for at least a few showers around kickoff.
