Nearly five hours after the release of the video, the Clinton campaign released a statement from Clinton’s physician which read that Clinton had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday and left the memorial after becoming dehydrated and overheated.
In a letter released by her doctor in July 2015, Clinton was described as being in “excellent health” and “fit to serve” in the White House. She participated in meetings on Saturday and didn’t want to miss the 9/11 event the next day, he said.
He also pointed to her prolonged coughing the previous week whilst giving an interview to CNBC. “The pneumonia is the extent of it”, Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon told MSNBC.
