It was only weeks after they split that Rivera discovered she was pregnant, but rather than tell Dorsey she chose to keep the pregnancy secret, scheduling the abortion during a day off from “Glee”. She admitted that she had the abortion without telling Dorsey that he was a father.

However, she did say she begged him not to release it because it would cause speculation as to who it would be about.
Ms. Rivera says she risked being judged by Dorsey and by the public, knowing it would be worth it if her experience helped other women dealing with similar experiences. “When I was writing the book, it was really important for to include that, because this is. a part of my story and a part of who I am”. ‘And I was like, ‘God, that’s awesome, thank you so much’. In her memoir, “Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes and Growing Up”, Rivera, 29, explains how she learned of the disturbing allegations against her ex.

Rivera didn’t tell Dorsey about the abortion until a few years later, but his reaction is the reason why they ended up together.
“That was really nerve-racking”, Rivera recalls.
