Jason Harding dressed in full firefighter gear paid tribute to first responders who were victims of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks on a stair-stepper Sunday morning.

An American firefighter has climbed 110 sets on a gym stair master – fully clothed in his heavy protective gear – in honour of colleagues who died in the World Trade Centre stairwells of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

“I did it because it felt right”, Harding told The Washington Post. I have participated in Nashville’s Memorial Stair Climb for the past 4 years.

So he made a decision to pay his own tribute by going to a gym and doing the climb there. So he went to the 24-hour Planet Fitness the nearby Smoky Mountains foothills community of Maryville at about 6 a.m.

Yesterday, firefighter Jason Harding walked into her gym and asked if he could climb 110 flights of stairs in his uniform.

A photo of a firefighter in full gear on a stair climbing machine posted on social media this weekend has touched the hearts of people across the country.

Bauler replied “yes sir” and said the tribute brought her to tears. I want to thank everyone that shared and commented in response to this post.

At last check, the picture had more than 100,000 shares. Little did Lezlie Bauler know that when she went into work Sunday, she would take a picture that would catch fire on Facebook.

“Faction it could be taking a lot of ways but it’s basically just a small group within a larger group that’s different and that would be us where females”, Morgan explained.

Step by step, Harding said he was remembering the men and women who sacrificed their lives to save others. I was not and am still not looking for any self recognition.
