Apple’s Messaging Service Is Getting Its Own App Store
There are apps for all doing all kinds of things, from expressing yourself with GIFs and stickers, to sending song lyrics, sharing movie information, maps locations, weather reports, and more, plus there are even more in-depth tools for figuring out what restaurant to eat at, sending money to friends, and other conveniences that are sure to save you a lot of time. So, for instance, you can add the Square Cash app and send your friends money without ever leaving a conversation.

The iMessage App Store will be available for all users of iOS 10, which goes live Tuesday.
“Show off your feelings with Mario’s expressions or use items to decorate your conversations to make them look like a scene from Mario’s world”, says the app description. It’s divided into two types: the self-explanatory stickers and iMessage apps.
As part of iOS 10’s new iMessage features, which incorporates apps right within the iMessage application, Confide users will be able to send self-destructing messages direct from their texts. And Lark is a Siri-integrated personal health coach, helping you lose weight and stay fit.
In order to use the new features in iMessage, a user needs to leave the programme to search in the big app store, which has more than 2 million apps.
With iOS 10 due to land to the public later today, the first iOS 10 optimised apps have begun appearing on the App Store.

You may also come across Messages apps in the full App Store. As for users, iMessage is technically just another option in the extremely crowded messaging space, but the insane amount of new features, together with tight integration into Apple’s ecosystem, will likely make it a formidable competitor.
