Here’s everyone I blame for the Dallas Cowboys first loss of 2016

“Hearing different people talk about me, that’s not going to bother me”.

Forget everything else about the Giants’ win and focus on that, along with the final score.

“I just wanted to sit there, cross my legs, grab a bag of popcorn and just watch him salsa”, said Beckham Jr., who had a 45-yard catch to set up New York’s first touchdown and finished with four catches for a team-high 73 yards. The 15th anniversary of September 11 resonates with Cruz, the son of a 30-year New Jersey fireman who was among the first responders at Ground Zero. Giants CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie seemed to have a nice angle on Williams, but the idea that he somehow forced the receiver inside isn’t accurate. Dan Bailey made field goals of 54 and 56 yards.

The Dallas Cowboys might have given the keys to the auto, or offense in this case, to rookie quarterback Dak Prescott, but they wouldn’t let him get out of second gear. So yes, there’s no guarantee the Cowboys would’ve won if Williams got to the sidelines.

“I thought the defensive line did a nice job in there”, head coach Ben McAdoo said. Jackrabbit really shadowed him for the most part. But again, not many defenses get through that Cowboy wall. “That was a great start for him to get catches, making plays and obviously to get that touchdown at the end”.

Every pregame note was ideal, except for the national TV talking heads bleating about Dak Prescott usurping Tony Romo for the No. 1 quarterback job for real. They pointed out that Jason Garrett called Williams out after the game.

The offense was also dealing with such an anemic running attack, Prescott probably had to double-take to make sure he wasn’t back in Starkville on last year’s team.

The reality is that they took as many shots down the field as the New York Giants. There just weren’t very many creases. “My mindset in preseason is stay healthy”, he told Francesa. The Giants, even after their summer of struggles, still have quick-strike ability. The fourth-round pick looked just as poised and sharp as he did in the preseason and that’s a big reason why Dallas punted only three times in the game. My first-guess was that I would’ve punted (and hoped that Brad Wing could’ve gotten the ball out of bounds inside the 20). The Cowboys lined Dez up all over the field, but that didn’t matter, the Giants knew where 88 was at all times. On Sunday, most Giants answered their doubters, at least a little bit. Dallas didn’t do much of that with its splash-less offense, causing some to wonder if Prescott was locked into being a “checkdown” QB.

Thousands showed up early outside AT&T Stadium in Arlington wearing their best Cowboys gear, and bringing some of their best treats. It’s certainly better than the alternative, as many of them know. Let’s take one more look back at Sunday’s victory over the Dallas Cowboys, though, with a film review. “Everybody is just pulling for me each and every day, each and every week as we got closer and closer to Week 1”.

“Average” is a dirty word in the NFL, because in this parity-based league, two-thirds of the teams will end up within two games of.500. and therefore, “average” is nothing.
