People celebrate Eid al-Adha with special namaaz in Thiruvananthapuram
The Eid al-Adha is celebrated in 4 days, and is said to be as important as the pilgrimage to Mecca, which is participated by around 2 million Muslims yearly.

Senator Francis Pangilinan said the Filipinos’ willingness to sacrifice for their fellowmen could be found in the spirit of Eid’l Adha.
As part of the sacred festival, Muslim devotees symbolically sacrifice lambs, goats, rams or other animals.
