More worryingly for Samsung, is that the alleged glitch comes at a time when it had built up huge critical and commercial goodwill after a hard 2015.
These hiccups come just a week before fierce rival Apple launches its new faster-running iPhone 7 and Apple Watch 2 on Wednesday 7 September.
It was not immediately clear when Galaxy Note 7 shipments to South Korean carriers would resume. The pictures indicate a Galaxy Note 7 unit to have exploded.
South Korean media has reported some owners of the Galaxy Note 7, which launched in select markets earlier this month, have seen the battery in their smartphone explode.
Samsung’s solution may be to recall all Galaxy Note 7 devices that have been sold thus far, as the company has no plans to hide the result of its investigation. However, matters didn’t end with this as similar explosions seemed to have impacted numerous others Galaxy Note 7 users.
Despite this lack of information, speculation is growing the quality control of Samsung’s premium device has to do with reports of exploding batteries. Samsung did not elaborate on which regions of the world would be affected by the delay, as there are several variants of the phone for different markets.
Whenever you walk into an electronics shop or cellular provider and find an empty spot where a flagship sits, it generally means the device is popular and sold out.

This may have been the case with the Note 7 where the users could have used a non-official charger and cable. If Samsung does find a problem, it will probably be looking at a recall for one of its highest-profile products. Samsung is also planning to take the same action for the devices with faulty batteries in the overseas markets.
