“I don’t know what happens from here on out”, said Punk during the UFC 203 post-fight press conference.

Following the bout, Punk said he plans to continue fighting.

So, the MMA and wrestling world had their eyes on CM Punk for one night. “I definitely see myself winning, and if I had to, I’d pick TKO”.

CM Punk’s first MMA fight against Mickey Gall didn’t go so well on Saturday night at UFC 203. I think all of us CM Punk fans would like to move on from this and erase this moment from our memories.

With Punk making his UFC debut at 37 years old, the fight went as expected.

“I’ve got someone I want next”.

Commentator Joe Rogan has slammed the UFC’s policy of interviewing knocked out fighters after Alastair Overeem made a unusual claim at UFC 203.

CM Punk earned a cool $500,000 for his first round loss to Mickey Gall, who earned just $30,000 in comparison. I didn’t get a chance to wrestle with him per say, but I got a chance to be out there with him.

Gall said Punk rushing at him in the opening seconds set the tone.

Gall quickly worked his way into side control, transitioned into mount and after delivering a number of hard punches, he was able to work the position and finally apply the rear-naked choke to end Punk’s UFC debut. “I’ve got to get back on and ride”.

Dana White is very much a supporter of Punk, not a critic, but the UFC president indicated after the fight that he agreed that the ex-pro wrestler was in over his head. With this win, Gall – who had specifically petitioned for the fight against punk – improves his mixed martial arts career to 3-0, with all wins coming by submission.

“It [the Punk fight] was a real opportunity for me. Doesn’t matter how many times you get knocked down, get up”.
