Conte angry Chelsea failed to ‘kill’ game; defends Costa

Swansea then took the lead after Cahill had a heavy touch and saw Fer nick the ball away from the defender. Yes, I think it’s normal to have a little bit (uncertainty), but this is a different game to the Leicester game. They know Diego is a player with passion and they tried to provoke him.

“I don’t know the extent of the injury but tomorrow we will see the situation about his ankle”, he said.

“I want to say after this situation we had a fantastic reaction”.

“I can tell you that Diego Costa, from the first minute to 94 minutes, he took a lot of kicks”, Conte told Sky Sports. I’m pleased with this.

Apart from a stab on Swansea’s Leroy Fer, Costa was also involved in all three of Swansea’s yellow cards. It’s not quite visible from the moon as Cahill makes out, but from every official position it was clear.

As for the game itself, Costa, who could have seen red (where have we heard that before), scored late on to secure a share of the points for the visitors. That kills me and my team.

Costa’s acrobatics in the 81st minute salvaged a point for Chelsea at Liberty Stadium after two defensive blunders in a three-minute span nearly gifted Swansea a victory.

“Look at my face!” It’s incredible. I said to the referee there’s three of you that can see that.

They constantly fouled the hot-headed Costa, who stood up to the physical challenge and gave it back in return, and Amat in particular was fortunate not to get sent off for repeat fouling in a niggly but enthralling game. “For me that is incredible”. I think he understood, but I made a mistake. “But if you can kill the game, you must kill the game”. We have to learn that. On Terry, the manger will await the result of a scan. “He is a warrior, so I’m not anxious”, said Conte.

Swansea manager Francesco Guidolin changed his usual formation to stop Chelsea in their tracks.

As John Terry flicked on a corner the Spanish worldwide was unmarked two metres from goal but directed the ball wide. “I am optimistic we can do better”.
