LA Rams can’t dwell on blowout loss with home opener looming

Radio announcer Kevin Harlan used a fan who ran onto the field to spice up his call of Monday night’s game between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers, offering spirited play-by-play commentary as. The 49ers defeated the Rams 28-0 and there was not much interest in the game. They’ve had little time to dwell on anything during their cross-country relocation and their nomadic new beginning in Southern California.

First, a personal foul penalty for taunting on Gurley just as LA looked like they were driving deep into Niners territory and second, an ejection for All-Pro defensive lineman, Aaron Donald, for hitting an opponent and then putting his hands on an official. Considering Carson Wentz, who the Rams passed over at No. 1, was deemed ready to play Week 1 for the Eagles and looked pretty darn good, the Rams look a bit weird. Just because this man is standing up for something he believes in doesn’t give you the right to boo him.

Fisher was explicitly asked if Keenum will remain the starter, just to clear things up so there were no questions left to be asked.

Things won’t get any easier for the Rams on Sunday when they welcome the Seattle Seahawks to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The Rams collected 186 yards of total offense. An 11-yard dash from Carlos Hyde and another 3-yard scramble from running back Shaun Draughn were enough to send the Red and Gold to the locker room with a 14-0 lead at the half.

Case Keenum wasn’t able to get anything going in the passing game with constant pressure in his face all game.

Case Keenum went 17 for 35 in his first National Football League opening-week start, and backup Sean Mannion didn’t get a snap.

Trading all of their resources for the No. 1 pick in the draft acknowledged that they were one quarterback away from making the leap and positioning themselves as a potential playoff team. His Rams went three-and-out on seven of 13 drives and at one point failed to convert 10 consecutive third downs, keeping the Rams’ defense on the field for long stretches. “The credit goes to our defence and our defensive staff”, said Kelly.

While Fisher saw the reasons behind his two stars’ reactions, he didn’t condone them.

“We have a 24-hour rule”, Fisher told the media on Tuesday. “We just didn’t execute for him”.

The game will be the first professional football game in Los Angeles since 1994. With an unexpected 49ers fan bolting across the field, when a play was in the making, the poor Rams were thrown off for a moment.
