West Ham fall apart as Watford run in four goals

5 – GOAL! West Ham United 1-0 Watford (Antonio) – The home side win the first corner of the game which is taken by French worldwide sensation Payet himself making his first start of the season. Antonio arrived late, and Sam Allardyce’s pick to become a new England regular, scored his ninth headed goal for West Ham over the past season.

Slaven Bilic’s side blew a two goal lead to lose 4-2 but the performance of some of the home fans was even more disappointing.

Once more the home defence was exposed as Holebas drilled a pass by Ighalo into the back of the net, but they also cried foul after seeing Payet brought down in the build-up.

“If we can go in 2-0 up at half-time it is a different game, but the mistakes have cost us in the end”.

Deeney claims the flair displayed by Manuel Lanzini and Dimitri Payet was a slap in the face and inspired them to victory after the home side raced to a two-goal lead with some outrageous skills. “No-one else has a start like us, but four points from four games, we’ll take that”.

The midfielder, who moved to the Cherries in a shock deadline day loan switch from Arsenal, came on after 63 minutes with the score goalless and his new team tiring. But there were warnings for West Ham too.

But Watford recovered and halved the arrears when Ighalo cut inside Sam Byram rather too easily and his shot was deflected past Adrian by the knee of James Collins.

“West Ham unreservedly condemn the behaviour of the individuals involved in incidents during today’s fixture against Watford”.

Substitute Jonathan Calleri headed against the foot of an upright as the Hammers desperately looked for a way back, while Stefano Okaka’s celebrations were cut short after an assistant’s flag denied the Hornets a fifth.
