Stoke City manager charged with misconduct

The decision was for him to stay and I am very pleased.”Stoke City manager Mark Hughes reacts after being sent to the stands during their Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur at Bet365 Stadium, Stoke-on-Trent, September 10, 2016″.

Following the second 4-0 victory over Stoke at the Bet 365 stadium in succession, Tottenham’s Argentinian coach was quick to point out he was “no genius” having once again come away from one of the Premier League’s most hard venues with another three points.

“It is alleged that his behaviour in or around the 34th minute of the fixture amounted to improper conduct”, the FA said in a statement on their website.

“Maybe, Mr Moss, who was the fourth official, was a little too keen to emphasise and enforce the new directives, which we have been exposed to on several occasions already this season”.

The Welshman was furious over the spot-kick awarded to Everton in their defeat prior to the global break, which followed two debatable penalty calls in the loss to Manchester City.

It also made him the fastest Spurs striker ever to reach 50 Premier League goals.

Hughes was sent to the stands by referee Anthony Taylor shortly before Spurs’ 41st-minute opener after reacting angrily to what he thought was a foul on Jon Walters and a yellow card given to Marko Arnautovic for diving.

“They seem to be vigilant and more of a stickler for the rules when Stoke City are involved, I think”, Hughes said.

“In the other games this season, nothing much had gone for us and I have previously said what I have said about those games”. Thats what theyre trying to protect.

“At one point I saw one of the managers step on the pitch and nothing was done about that. “Clearly I went out of the technical area and they spotted that”. Thats the reason the rule came in apparently.”.
