Blu-ray review: Captain America: Civil War

But the best part of this video is the roll call for Team Captain America and Team Iron Man, pointing out all quirks that each of the teams have, including the greatest love story of the film that exists between Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes. Even the characters introduced in the various Marvel series might have a small chance to set in The Avengers 3: Infinity War, which will constitute in itself a new beginning.

For the past few months, Marvel have been rather obvious in their belief that the films and TV shows are equal only in the fact they ostensibly both occupy the same shared universe.

Condensing the climax of the entire MCU thus far into one movie is a tall order, but the Russo brothers seem very confident that they can pull it off – and considering that The Winter Soldier and Civil War are two of the best Marvel films to date, we also have every confidence in the Russos to make Infinity War live up to fan hopes.

The team go on to slam the franchise’s lack of good villains, noting that all Marvel Studios can do is pit its heroes against each other to create some sort of conflict. Anthony Russo said, “We do consider everyone”.

But in the end they couldn’t compromise what they thought was the right thing to do, not because they were stubborn. For those wanting more on Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, they discuss how they didn’t want to retread his origin since we’ve seen it many times.

Moving forward, the trailer deconstructs each plot hole which mars the pristine image of Civil War.

These include an extended funeral scene, Zemo meeting Dr. Broussard, a scene with Black Panther and Black Widow, and more. Marvel has released some of the content already, like the gag reel and the sneak peek at Doctor Strange, but there’s plenty more to keep viewers entertained, too.
