Ohio poll: Trump has narrow lead over Clinton
Donald Trump has a significant over rival Hillary Clinton in the crucial battleground states of OH and Florida, according to new polls.

But the Bloomberg poll is also not the first recent survey to show Trump gaining in OH, where Clinton had boasted fairly consistent leads for much of the summer.
It seems as though some in OH took offense to Hillary Clinton’s comments over the weekend that half of Donald Trump’s supporters can be grouped into a “bucket of deplorables”.
In the Real Clear Politics average of major polls, Clinton’s lead over Trump has now dropped to 2.4 pct points in a two way race, and a two pct point in a four-way race. And no Republican has ever won the presidency without also winning the state.
The numbers are a blow to the Clinton campaign which normally enjoys an advantage nationally and in swing states.
The poll finds Trump surging among independent voters, with the mogul trailing Clinton by only two points among those voters, 38 per cent to 36 per cent.
OH voters have not let the Republican nominee off the hook, however.
By party affiliation, 23% of Democrats said Clinton’s health would negatively impact her ability to serve as president while 44% of independents and 69% of Republicans believed so.
Despite those concerns, Mr Trump’s predicted win in OH indicates the challenge that his rival faces in the “rustbelt states”. At a fundraiser in New York City on Friday night, the former secretary of state told a crowd of donors that “you can put half of Trump supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables”.
“The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic – you name it”, she said at a NY fundraiser. Then, on Sunday, she abruptly left a 9/11 event.

Libertarian Gary Johnson maintains 11 points, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein maintains 4 points, the survey said. It has a margin of error of 3.5 percent.
