A young mum has confessed to murdering her three sons over the course of a year saying she carried out the killings because her husband ignored their daughter.

Under questioning by police, Brittany Pilkington broke down and confessed to suffocating all three of her sons by putting blankets over their heads, according to the Columbus Dispatch and the AP.
Police went to Pilkington’s apartment in the 800 block of Sandusky Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. today, after a 911 call from Brittany Pilkington that Noah was not breathing.
Brittany Pilkington had initially told police she believed her children died from a genetic problem, but authorities began to doubt her story with the circumstances of Noah’s death, 10TV reported.
With questions over the double deaths, officials took away the couple’s remaining kids: a baby boy named Noah and a three-year-old girl called Hailey.
A new survey has found fewer than half of U.S. Roman Catholics said they knew of Pope Francis’ bombshell encyclical on curbing climate change – and only a fraction of those heard about it from the pulpit – in…
“Why would you give them back after a little boy just died and when you’re in the middle of an investigation?”
Their daughter, three, was taken into custody by a county child welfare agency.
Niall also was found dead by his father and the cause of that death was undetermined.
Officials investigated the child’s death, but couldn’t determine the cause and the evidence to suggest Pilkington was responsible was scant.
Local authorities asked for assistance from state investigators after three-month-old Noah Pilkington died Tuesday. He remembered consoling a distraught Joseph Pilkington but finding Brittany Pilkington unperturbed.
Pilkington’s father, Ed Cummins, told WBNS that he was stunned.
Dispatchers provided instructions on how to provide CPR. “I’d have done anything for her if I could”.
The mother was nice but quiet, neighbor Stevi McKee said.
McKee had just held the baby a few days ago. “All he did was smile”.

“She walked around like nothing had happened”, McKee said. McKee said. “They didn’t deserve that”.
