Samsung delays Galaxy Note 7 shipments over exploding units
Samsung will issue a global recall of the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone as soon as this weekend after its investigation on explosion claims found batteries were at fault, according to South Korea’s Yonhap News.

Samsung Electronics Co. has halted deliveries of its flagship Galaxy Note 7 phablet to South Korean mobile carriers amid a series of reports at home and overseas that a few of the devices were “exploding” while they were being charged, industry officials said Wednesday. Also, the statement did not mention which markets are going to be affected by this delay, Reuters reports.
A delay in Note7 shipments could prove problematic for Samsung, as the device is seen as the company’s second most important device behind its flagship Galaxy S7.
These hiccups come just a week before fierce rival Apple launches its new faster-running iPhone 7 and Apple Watch 2 on Wednesday 7 September. She said media reports that Samsung has stopped shipments of the flagship phone are not true.
One of the reports on an exploding Galaxy Note 7 involved a user who posted pictures on Chinese forum Baidu showing a destroyed Galaxy Note 7.

The Galaxy Note 7 is the latest iteration of a series that features a giant screen and a stylus.
“Such problems can be addressed by replacing parts and modules and changing the design of circuits, so supply problems for the Galaxy Note 7 should ease within a matter of few weeks”, Hyundai Securities said in a report.
“Be careful out there, everyone rocking the new Note 7, might catch fire y’all”, one user said in a YouTube clip showing a burnt Note phone.

Samsung began selling the Galaxy Note 7 on August 19. Several outlets are reporting Samsung plans to recall the phones to replace the batteries rather than providing complainants with entirely new phones.
