Apple assures users iOS 10 update is safe after iPhone ‘bricking’ issues
Apple made Siri available to app developers in iOS 10, so you can use the digital assistant to do more inside apps that haven’t been coded by Cupertino.

Post-install (or pre-install if you’re more organised), you’ll likely have to update a ton of apps so that they won’t blow up under iOS 10.
Some users say the update bricked their iPhones and iPads, meaning they were locked out of their devices.
It advised anyone experiencing problems to connect their device to iTunes to complete the installation of the new software.
A prompt in iTunes will ask you to update or restore.
Of course, Apple have had these problems before – the iOS 9.3.2 update, when it first came out, bricked the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. Those who tried to update their Apple devices via OTA (Over-The-Air) were the most affected.
There are other features that make the new iOS 10 awesome, however, there is also a negative side and it is causing disappointment to consumers.
When Apple releases a software update of this caliber and on this scale, it’s not uncommon to have to wait your turn in the queue. If you have previously backed up your device with iTunes, you might be able to restore from your back-up during set-up. Then, go to settings, general and software update to begin the upgrade process.
For now, only WhatsApp is supporting the Siri integration, but soon enough this feature will also be brought to the Facebook Messenger.
If you want to check on your notifications without pushing buttons, use the new “raise to wake” feature built into iOS 10, which works exactly as it sounds.

You will, however, lose an app’s data on deletion, which will be gone for good unless it has iCloud support.
